In fact Lampard said this in reference to his team facing Barcelona in the semi-final of the Champions League but the more general point stands.
After the superb goal of Ronaldo, he may be a hero again and this striking goal certainly deserves to be applauded, but yes, to be the topper in the world he needs to start producing his magic on a regular basis again.
In contrast to this, Messi has pledged his loyalty to the Barcelona again and again and does not court other clubs publicly.
