Lampard admits he wants to avoid the Liverpool game in next week’s Champions League quarter-final draw after being paired with the Premier League rivals in each of the last 4 seasons.
In 3 of the 4 meetings, the teams have met in the semi-finals, with Liverpool winning in the year 2004 and the year 2007, while Chelsea succeeded in last year’s last 4.
Frank Lampard helped the Chelsea team to a 2-2 draw against Juventus in Turin this Tuesday - and 3-2 aggregate win - but yes, the England midfielder admitted the players were ‘fed up’ with what has become an yearly Champions League fight.
Frank Lampard said that when one looks around at who is left in the competition there is not a team one would say. He also added, “Maybe Liverpool don’t want to play us either and, to be honest, we are all a bit fed-up of that one. If fate says it should happen then so be it, but I think we would all be happy avoiding it.”
He also says that maybe every other team might not want to play with them, but in fact his team is thinking about them too.
I dont think u have a promble with playing liverpool i think chelsea are the best. I will always support chelsea. I think you are the best and i would love to meet u i have never bean to a football match.
