Frank Lampard, after the death of former national coach Sir Bobby Robson, has urged to all his team-mates to win the 2010 World Cup to pay a tribute to him.
Sir Bobby Robson died on July 31 after a long battle with cancer. He was then 76.
Frank Lampard admitted that the death of this great coach has hurt the Three Lions squad. He said his death had made them more determined to win the 2010 World Cup, which is going to be held in South Africa.
He said, “It would be fantastic and a great tribute to Sir Bobby. And we believe it’s possible.”
Sir Bobby Robinson, after his career-end, found success as a manager in the club and also international. He won league championships in Netherlands as well as Portugal and had earned trophies in England and Spain.
Robinson had even guided the England team to the semi-finals of the World Cup at Italia 90.
