Frank Lampard says that football is just like most things and it is all about timing. He said recently start well, pace yourself, don’t peak too early and save the best ’til last. Of course why not. He has turned timing into a form of an art on the pitch. Everything, whether running into the box to score or else to give a precision pass, Lampard always gets it right on the button.
Is there anything more to describe his performances this season than he done everything right and perfect on the pitch.
Let us cross check some of his performances. In his last seven League games, Lampard has netted nine times. He has helped his club Chelsea to 18 points from 21 and putting them in the box seat for the championship.
As England midfielder, he is the first central midfielder in Premier League’s history for scoring 20-plus (he’s got 21) goals in a season.
He has taken place among few big players of football who has scored in big games at crucial times.
Lampard said: “Because of the goals I have scored in this run-in, this season is up there with my best already… Last season was my best yet all-round because of the way I played, but then you think how important it is to perform at the business end of the season… You always remember the players that turn up for the big games and help win leagues - guys like Wayne Rooney or Thierry Henry.”
