Frank Lampard has a firm believe that the present team at the Stamford Bridge has the same winning mentality as the squad was assembled by Jose Mourinho. Lampard is comparing his side as he has played best in it. This season there are high hope from the team under the guidance of Carlo Ancelotti.
Lampard said, “It’s up there… The first year or two, when we won the league with Jose Mourinho, was a fantastic team as a group and as individuals. We were rock solid and everyone could see that.”
He also added that what they have done now with similar quality in the squad is to get back to that real strong mentality. He mentioned further, “It’s very noticeable in the performances we’ve put in, particularly against Arsenal and then when we’ve played the big clubs.”
Even the Chelsea swept aside Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, but the Blues then took just 9 points from the 18 in December and still remained top of the table heading into 2010.
