Lampard says the Blues miss the talent of Cole

Frank Lampard hopes that before the Chelsea add to their boys, they secure the future of Joe Cole.

He believes that for the Blues the best move could be signing up his team-mate on a long-term contract.

Joe Cole is now being linked with a move to Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur because he is seeking a guaranteed first-team football ahead of the World Cup in South Africa.

Frank Lampard said to the media, “It will be great if he follows all the others and signs a new contract. It’s for Joe and the club to sort out but he is part of the furniture now.”

He also said that it is very important that Chelsea keep the affiliation with the English players. He added that the fans relate to them and they have become a core of the club and Joe is a member of that.

Jole Cole is 27-year-old and is presently recuperating from injury but ‘Lamps’ cannot wait for his return.
Lampard also mentioned that Joe’s coming back will just be like a new signing for the club. He added further that it is a long time to be without someone of his talent.
