Frank Lampard recently said no to the multi million pound move to Spain. Do you know the reason? In fact he just wanted to stay with television presenter Christine Bleakley, his new love. After Lampard picked up his third Premier League title medal, he was linked to a transfer to Real Madrid. He refused the transfer because he does not want to risk his relationship with his new love.
It’s expected that Jose Mourinho, the former Chelsea manager, will be making this summer a £30m bid for the midfielder if he takes over at Real Madrid.
The career of 31-year-old Newtownards-born Christine Bleakley has gone from strength to strength after she joined in 2007 the One Show team.
There has been also speculations that she may get a contract with BBC for a solo chat show and that will include a hefty pay.
Lampard has been dating Christine for last seven months.
A friend of Lampard said to the Sunday Mirror, “It’s no secret that Frank finds the prospect of a reunion with Mourinho at one of the world’s great clubs attractive,” a friend told the Sunday Mirror.”
He also added further, “But he absolutely adores Christine and he is not prepared to do anything that would rock the boat. Her TV career is going brilliantly and Frank knows she wouldn’t leave the country right now so he’s decided to stay at Chelsea.”
