Lampard says biggest clubs have ‘other priorities

Frank Lampard said that the priorities of the biggest clubs in the Premier League are not only to win the FA Cup.

Lampard maintains that even though for the big boys the competition may have gone down the pecking order, but there is still left a unique charm for the smaller clubs.

He said to the media, “I accept that the bigger clubs have other priorities and if I’m honest the FA Cup is no longer the focal point and highlight of a player’s season.”

Lampard also added, “But personally it still means a great deal to me because I grew up at a time when playing in the [FA] Cup final was the highlight of any player’s career.”

He further said that if he had not been lucky enough in playing a final even then he will let alone the club win it. He mentioned that he would have always looked back on it as a low point and an unfulfilled dream.

Lampard insists that there is only little that can defeat in the FA Cup the old atmosphere of a David and Goliath clash.
