The 4-4 draw of Chelsea with Liverpool in the Champions League quarterfinals left a little to be desired.
Frank Lampard scored two of his team’s goals on Tuesday in a scintillating match at the Stamford Bridge but lets give a ear to what Lampard said.
He said, “We have to look back at the mistakes we make as a group in conceding goals.” Frank Lampard said this after the team advanced 7-5 on aggregate following a win of 3-1 in the first leg. He also added in his brief, “We have to be strong and we need to tighten up defensively.”
Chelsea will be facing Barcelona in the semifinals. Frank Lampard commented on this match, “Barcelona are the form team in Europe, if not the world. They have been that way all season.” He also added that if they are going to beat Barcelona then they to play at the level they have achieved in the first leg against the Liverpool when they won 3-1. Chelsea needs that and more against the Barcelona to win.
