In the recent poor performance of Chelsea, the defender Ashley Cole looks forward to the return of Frank Lampard, who is injured and out of field.
In the last week, Chelsea has won only one game out of six played in the Premier League. With the poor performance, the Blues have allowed Arsenal and Manchester United to overtake them in the standings.
Frank Lampard has returned to the training. Ashley Cole says his return to action now is the perfect time. He said, “It would be nice to have Frank back, a boost.”
He also added for the 32-year-old fan favourite, “He’s a big player for Chelsea and England and it would be very nice for us and the fans to have him back. He’s a big influence in the way we play.”
Cole said that no one likes drawing or losing at home. He mentioned that in football these things happen and players need to get on with it.
He said further, “It can happen in football. You can play well one month and then have a blip. It’s not just us. It’s happened to others in the past. But we’ve put that game behind us. We have to focus on [the game on Sunday against] Tottenham.”
