Lampard out in clash against Arsenal

Chelsea will face Arsenal without Frank Lampard on the November 29th match in the Premier League summit. Lampard has ruled out of action for three weeks. He is suffering from a thigh injury while he was on a training with the England squad in Qatar on Thursday. He has now flew back to London with a fear that he may be sidelined for up to two months.

After being assessed by medical staff of Chelsea on Friday morning the news comes that a club spokesman has predicted his muscle tear needs only three weeks to heal.

Chelsea will be claiming 151,000-pounds-a-week (251,000 dollars) wages of Frank Lampard in compensation from the Football Association (FA) if he is sidelined by an injury that has been linked to the allegedly cramped conditions on the charter plane that England used to fly to Doha for the friendly match with Brazil on Saturday.

This thesis has been however been dismissed by coach of England Fabio Capello. He pointed out that the same plane has been used without repercussions by the team for much longer trips and even to the Trinidad and to Kazakhstan.

England had made 7-hour flight to Doha on Wednesday and Frank Lampard suffered an injury in the beginning of England’s first training session on the next morning. The temperature then was over 30 degrees and at that time most of the players would normally have been having breakfast.

Fabio Capello said, “We always train at this time, except the day before an away game when we train at night in the stadium where the match is going to be played.”
