Frank Lampard is not in favor of Joe Cole leaving the club. Last week the speculation grew that Cole may be on his exit way of the Stamford Bridge because yet he has not signed a new deal with Chelsea. The present contract of Joe Cole with the Blues expires this summer and he may walk away as a free agent.
Reports also comes that a clutch of clubs like Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur were interested in signing him. Bruce Buck, the chairman of Chelsea, insisted that Chelsea were dong their best to retain him in the club.
Frank Lampard said, “Joe’s a fantastic player and I really hope we keep him, and I think that goes for everyone at the club.”
He also added further, “I don’t know Joe’s personal position with the club but I’m sure that the club want to keep him and the players want him to stay.” Lampard also says that Joe Cole adds something different for the entire squad.
