Frank Lampard seems missing the opening game of Chelsea against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday. He was hurt in a friendly match between England and Hungary in which England lost by 2-1.
Carlo Ancelotti, manager of Chelsea, said Brazil midfielder Ramires is making his move from Benfica.
He said recently, “We have to check Lampard in the morning because he has a problem with his ankle. Then we will decide if he is ready or not.”
He also added that defender Alex and goalkeeper Petr Cech, both long-term injured, would be seen in the next match against West Brom of Roberto Di Matteo, former Bridge favorite.
Ramires, 23, will cost a fee of 17 million pounds to the club, but manager describes him as a “fantastic player”.
