Lampard hopes to finish his career at Stamford Bridge

Frank Lampard hopes that he can finish his career at the Stamford Bridge. He has confessed recently that one day he would love to manage the London club.

He said to The Times, “I’m a Chelsea lifer now.” He added further, “With the news about John [Terry] staying, we’ve both been here a long time and I’d like to keep it that way.”

Frank Lampard believes he and Terry are the backbone of Chelsea. He also believes that due to the frequent reshuffling taking place on the bench with respect to players and managers will be adding stability to the club.

He said, “In the [Roman] Abramovich era there have always been players coming and going, so it’s good if we can keep that backbone.”

He mentioned further, “With the frequent changes of manager, maybe they need us for that.”

Frank Lampard arrived from the rivals West Ham United in the year 2001 and since then has made more than 300 appearances in a Chelsea jersey.
