Lampard hopes good farewell to Hiddink

Frank Lampard hopes of sending Guus Hiddink (temporary manager) off with a farewell FA Cup Final winners’ medal.

Guus Hiddink will be ending his brief tenure at Stamford Bridge with the Wembley showdown against Everton next weekend. Frank Lampard prefer to ensure Guus Hiddink departs a winner.

Guus Hiddink, a Dutch coach, will be returning to his full-time role as head coach of the Russia national team. He guided the team Chelsea to the semi-finals of the Champions League. The team was a third-place finish in the Premier League.

Frank Lampard said, “A season without silverware is seen as a failure and that’s pretty well right, if you look at the quality of the squad here.”

He also believes that whoever the club selects to replace outgoing Guus Hiddink will benefit from a determination within the squad.

Carlo Ancelotti, AC Milan coach, is said to be the frontrunner to take the reins at Stamford Bridge.
