Frank Lampard recently insisted that he has no problems with Liverpool’s Xabi Alonso as the duo prepare for again a battle in the Champions League on Wednesday.
There has been many incident between both the players in their several meetings over the years.
Alonso had his leg broken by Frank Lampard accidentally in a challenge in the year 2005 and the England international was also sent off for a tackle on the Spaniard at Anfield during the start of this season.
That red card was subsequently shown but their midfield duel simply adds a little bit of spice to an already fiery encounter.
Well, if we speak more of their latest showdown, Frank Lampard has admitted that he has spoken to Alonso, just after the recent international friendly between England and Spain, in a bid to clear all the misunderstandings.
He said to the media, “It’s always a good battle between Alonso and me. We’ve had our moments but there’s a lot of respect.”
