Frank Lampard says that he has no doubt that Chelsea will win the league. The midfielder returned back to action after series of injuries on Sunday against Tottenham Hotspur. He was out of field for about four months.
He said, “I have no doubt we will win the league.”
He added that his team needs to continue shoing the same spirit as it was at White Hart Lane where it was a 1-1 draw, though it would have been easily a victory.
Lampard said further that now the team has quality squad. He continued, “It is very tough. We will have to fight on a few fronts. Man City are there now, Arsenal, Man United, as we know. Teams like Tottenham are pushing from behind. So we have to be at our best, but if we are at our best I think we can win it.”
The midfielder was surprisingly a substitute against the Spurs. On Thursday, manager of the team Carlo Ancelotti planned to field him in a practice match. He would do it before starting him play against Manchester United on Sunday. But, after Saturday’s discussion it was decided that the player could be on the bench against the Spurs.
