Frank Lampard is heard of lately to have splashed out £300,000 on a flat for the granny of his ex-fiancee Elen Rives.
The granny is of aged 80-year old. Lampard and Rives split in February 2009 after seven years of their relationship.
Both of them have two daughters, Luna, who is four year old and Isla, just two years old.
Lampard bought this three-bed apartment for the granny so that the two daughters can visit the old lady and other relatives in Spain.
Friend of Lampard said, “Fans needn’t worry, it’s not for him. It’s for Elen’s gran Teresa. It’s a prime property right in the heart of the city, very near the Sagrada Familia church. Elen is very close to her grandmother, and regularly travels to Barcelona to see her there.”
Elen Rives, 35, lives with daughters in a £3million six-bed Chelsea townhouse that has been paid for by Lampard.
It has also been noticed by media that Lampard has been dating The One Show’s Christine Bleakley, 31-year-old, since October last year.
