Lampard blames Red Players for John Terry booking

Even though taking a 3-1 lead in the quarter-final second-leg of Champions League at Stamford Bridge coming Tuesday, Chelsea will have to make do without John Terry, the captain, after this defender was harshly booked for a challenge on Pepe Reina at the Anfield.

After following a corner John Terry whole-heartedly went ahead in looking to nod the ball past Reina and of course into the net. But, not fortunately, the Spanish stopper was quick enough, and a collision ultimately occurred there.

As a result both the players received some kind of treatment. John Terry was booked by referee Claus Bo Larsen and is now had been suspended for the game at the Stamford Bridge.

The midfielder Frank Lampard thinks that it was the pressure from the rushing players of the Liverpool that had forced the referee Claus Bo Larsen to take this action.

Frank Lampard said to the media, ‘It’s unfortunate that when Terry got booked all the Liverpool players ran around to make sure he did.’
