Frank Lampard is now playing synchronized with Steven Gerrad. Both formed a strong partnership this Wednesday night in a World Cup qualifier at Wembley Stadium.
Frank Lampard scored one of the goals. It was instructed to him to restrain his runs. He had given Steven Gerrard more freedom to drift inside during the attacks in the game.
He said, “I’m basically stopping a lot more now and playing a more central role. The manager wants discipline in the middle of the park. Stevie has a bit of freedom to run in from the left.”
He also added that obviously it is not his Liverpool position but he can be very, very dangerous from that side. He mentioned that both of them worked on it and hence there is a good link up.
Lampard even said that at the moment they are winning games. Everyone is happy.
