Lampard admits his performance is slow in World Cup 2010

Frank Lampard is not performing well in the FIFA World Cup 2010 matches and even Lampard admits this. He says his national team, England, was below par in the opening two games.

Today the final group match of England will be played against Slovenia and not to forget that Slovenia has played well in the tournament and is titled as the surprising group leaders. England experienced a draw with the USA and Algeria, and so the team needs to win in today’s match.

If England wins the match, there will be a progress for the team to the knockout stages, but if there is a draw then the other results will play as fate for the team.

So, the fate of England is still on the hands of the team says Lampard and he is keen to show the fans of England what they can do.

He said, “So far we’ve played in fit’s and starts. With hindsight I think the USA game wasn’t actually too bad considering it was an opening game.”

Lampard also added while talking to the Daily Mirror, “I think we’ve all been slightly below par, particularly against Algeria, and I want to come back firing and show what I can do.”
