Henderson faces Lampard this weekend

This weekend Jordan Henderson will line up against Frank Lampard, one of his heroes, Henderson, Sunderland midfielder, has full determination of giving Lampard a tough afternoon than he had ever experienced when the two crossed horns last at the Stamford Bridge.

Jordan Henderson’s senior debut took place in November 2008 when Sunderland were last at Chelsea. Then he was a half-time substitute under his former boss Roy Keane. Then he was not able to prevent his side a defeat of 5-0.

Still Henderson regards the November 2008 experience in his career as one of the most harrowing. Then Frank Lampard too full control over the midfield and he scored the fourth goal for Chelsea just after the interval.

Well, now Henderson has developed himself as the most promising young midfielders in the English football team. This weekends opportunity is just like a test to himself.

He said, “I can still remember my debut game really well.”

Henderson also added that it is a great feeling for him to be with Lampard on the same pitch. He mentions further that he have learned that one cannot give people like that too much respect.

He concluded by saying, You have to go out there and think you’re as good as them, and you have to work hard and get in their face.”
