Lampard can take the stand in a court action over the termination of a dollar foreign exchange position. He is undergoing an acrimonious split from partner Elen Rives. He could be called by the Vantage Capital Management, which is defending itself over a claim by Frank Lampard’s financial adviser, Paul Kemsley (property tycoon), for £85,000.
Both of them claim a communication breakdown that is caused by Vintage Capital Management meant they missed out on tens of thousands of pounds, but the VCM is defending this action and is prepared to call on Lampard to testify.
It is known that Frank Lampard turned to Kemsley for advice about purchasing property in the US. Property tycoon Kemsley advised against this, instead suggesting that he bought dollars. Paul Kemsley had a dollar account that was worth more than £50m but Frank Lampard’s was comparably low.
Frank Lampard’s agent Steve Kutner had refused to comment on this. Paul Kemsley thought that the case would get a summary judgment and not go to full trial.
