Frank Lampard gains strength from boo-boys of England

Lampard recently admitted that it was tough being the target of the England boo-boys. But, at the same time he also believes that the experience has made him a stronger player.

Even though Lampard has been voted the fans’ Player of the Year in back-to-back seasons, he held responsible for few of the poor displays under Steve McClaren, booed on a number of occasions by frustrated fans.

Frank Lampard even now believes that this kind of treatment is a counter-productive, but says that he himself has learned from the ordeal.

Ashley Cole, the Chelsea team-mate, endured the same fate after he gifted Kazakhstan a goal at Wembley in October 2008. He said to the media, “The first time you get a bit of stick it does affect you. You are only human. Gradually it becomes a lot easier to deal with. You start thinking it doesn’t matter too much and concentrate on doing your job.”
