Monday was the first day for Guus Hiddink in Chelsea club. He has taken charge of the Chelsea training session. Frank Lampard said on his joining that this Dutchman was already making his presence felt.
Last weekend Guus Hiddink watched the FA Cup. It was a 3-1 win to Watford but it followed with the sacking of former manager of the club Luiz Felipe Scolari. Frank Lampard said to a website that Guus Hiddink’s presence has been able to lift the spirits of the players. He added, “He has cast his eye over training and the game and you can see a little lift in the lads trying to impress him, which always happens when a new manager comes in.”
Lampard also said that according to him Hiddink will be happy with the desire and spirit that the players showed at 1-0 down against Watford and also some of the football that the players on a tough pitch was good. He adds that he will enjoy working with Hiddink because they all know him as a manager. The team knows what Hiddink did before with other teams.
