Chelsea hoping to get hands on trophy

Frank Lampard admitted to the media recently that he is being desperate to end up the club’s barren run in Champions League after he has gone agonisingly close in the last two seasons.

Chelsea in last year’s final lost on penalties to the Manchester United and the team was even knocked out in dramatic late circumstances by the Barcelona in the semi-final of last season.

Carlo Ancelotti, the manager, now has been brought in and he is charged with the responsibility and task of lifting Europe’s top prize. To this Frank Lampard admits few days before that the west Londoners had endured some of the really tough times recently in the competition.

He said, “I don’t know if Barcelona was worse than Moscow or not but to me they are both right up there because of the circumstances involved.”

He continued further by saying, “Both were so hard on us, so cruel. To lose out in that semi-final against Barcelona in the manner that we did was certainly tough to take.”
