Yesterday was more bad news for Chelsea FC. Although Frank Lampard did not play too badly, they lost 3 - 0 to Man UTD at home. Chelsea didn’t really create that many chances to be fair and Man UTD played superbly. Having said that, I believe that each of the goals could have been prevented. Man UTD’s attackers seemed sharper than the Chelsea defenders and got to crosses and such much faster.
The first goal came from Vidic just before half time - although the header was strong, Petr Czech should have done better, he did in fact get a hand to the ball. This came seconds after a Cristiano Ronaldo goal was disallowed.
The second goal was scored by Wayne Rooney.
And the third by Dimitar Berbatov.
Although Chelsea fans will feel sour after this loss, Chelsea and Frank Lampard remain only 4 points behind the leaders Liverpool, who only managed a point vs Stoke.
