Claudio Ranieri reveals now that he could have signed Michael Carrick during his time in charge of the Chelsea Football Club.
It is well known to all that Michael Carrick has established himself as one of the best midfielders in England for the Manchester United Club, but he could have been starring next to Frank Lampard instead.
Claudio Ranieri is now coach of Juventus. He says, “When I paid £11million for him (Frank Lampard) people were surprised, but how much is he worth now?”
This former boss of the Blues also added that at the time he signed him he wanted to sign Michael Carrick as well. He added, “We only had the money to sign one so I had to make a decision which one to buy. I think I made the right choice signing Lampard.”
Michael Carrick was once was a youngster at West Ham United, who he left for Tottenham Hotspur before he eventually pitched up at the Old Trafford.
