Lampard’s goal drought will end soon says Carlo Ancelotti. He also insists that Italian would love to see it happen on Sunday against Liverpool.
In the month of September Frank Lampard played eight games but he failed to make a single goal. This is very rare for him and may be of this Chelsea suddenly appeared to be struggling a little after losing a match against Wigan last weekend.
Ancelotti said, “I’m not worried because Lampard will score and he is working hard for the team, for me this is important.”
Against the Liverpool match Chelsea will be without the goalkeeper. Petr Cech has been suspended. He ended Chelsea’s 86-game unbeaten run last season at Stamford Bridge in the corresponding fixture.
Petr Cech has admitted that the display in Cyprus had given some cause for concern.
Czech international said, “We scored a great goal and until the end of the first half we did well… Then in the second half we started quite well for five minutes and then there was a moment when we started losing balls cheaply.”
