Lampard is confident enough that the travelling army of England will see better performance from the team mates in Holland this week than what they got to see last February against Spain.
The Three Lions till now have suffered two defeats during Fabio Capello’s reign. One of them was in Seville being the latest as Andres Iniesta and Xavi weaved pretty patterns around the midfield of England during a comprehensive win for the Euro 2008 winners.
Immediately after that Fabio Capello insisted that the England would benefit from the experience and it would also love to take on Spain again in coming year’s World Cup final in Johannesburg, South Africa. Due to this sentiment Frank Lampard is eager to tackle the Dutch in Amsterdam on Wednesday so that it is proved that progress is being made.
Lamard said, “When we played in Spain it was tough.” He added further. “But that was good for us. When we lost, it dampened down expectations a bit. There is nothing wrong with that. It needed to be done.”
